Comme des Garçons, which means "like boys" in French, is a Japanese womenswear label founded by Rei Kawakubo in Tokyo in 1969. The women's collection established the brand, though there are now multiple offshoots and labels. The avant-garde brand is known for some of the most eclectic looks in high fashion.
