In 1980, Barbour produced the first short, lightweight jacket, the Bedale. Originally conceived for riding, the Bedale has been favoured by many British people, from royalty to pop icons. The classic elements of a Barbour jacket are all included, with a two-way brass ring zip and studded 'Stormfly' front, two large bellow pockets and two moleskin-lined handwarmer pockets, and the traditional corduroy collar with studs for a hidden throat flap.
