Converse was established in 1908 in a small Massachusetts town. Ten years afterwards, the company’s founder, Marquis Converse, decides to exploit basketball’s success in the making the very first All Star – that quickly became the official shoe of basketball professionals. The turning point though is the appearance of Chuck Taylor, a young player who contributed to bring Converse in the Olympus of footwear by designing the legendary All Star Chuck Taylor and by linking his image to the brand forever.
