I can’t get enough of these items for this season’s day parties and brunches
Summer is officially upon us and I couldn’t be more thrilled about it. It’s the perfect time to catch up with pals over a mimosa or two, and I’m gearing up for all of the day parties and brunches I’ll be attending over the next few months. When a new season hits, I always add a few new pieces to my wardrobe to help me stay on trend. Of all the seasons, summer is the one I look forward to shopping for most.
Summer parties and brunch are ideal occasions to showcase your signature style. In this digital age, it’s inevitable that what you wear will be posted all over Instagram, so it’s important to feel great in what you’re wearing. Here are some tips and tricks for how to look your best at every social event you’ve got on your calendar:
Currently craving chunky heels and Valentino sandals
Shoes are a vital part of any outfit, and with Italist’s impressive selection, I’m having a hard time narrowing it down to one or two pairs for my seasonal splurge. I’m currently contemplating several pairs of Valentino sandals; I just can’t get enough of the iconic rockstud details that Valentino is known for. Whether you opt for a pair of wedges, heels, strappy sandals, or slides, you’re bound to make a splash this summer with a pair of Valentinos. In addition to Valentino sandals, I really want to add a pair of chunky heels to my wardrobe since I’m seriously obsessed with this popular and nostalgic shoe trend. Chunky heels may look intimidating, but they are surprisingly easy to walk in and are very comfortable—a bonus for any shoe lover.
With many pairs of chunky heels to choose from, Italist is keeping me right on trend this season. Pair your summer shoes with a bright pedicure and you’re good to go!
Have fun with your accessories
Summer day parties and brunch are the perfect opportunity to be playful with your accessories. Go ahead and experiment a little! Since I’m such a sucker for details, I am naturally drawn to statement accessories. My summer party and brunch uniform is going to be a pair of Valentino sandals, a midi dress, and a chic headband from the likes of Flapper or Missoni. Headbands easily elevate your outfit and I’m loving that they’re having a major moment. They add a glamorous yet effortless vibe to any look (which is the goal, right?). I also plan on adding a funky ring, oversized sunglasses, and a mini bag to refine my look.
Pool parties are my favorite parties
Summer parties are practically synonymous with poolside BBQs. A bit more casual than brunch, a laid-back pool party is one of my favorite occasions to dress for. If you know you’ll be lounging by the pool with pals this summer, you should consider updating your swimwear collection. I recommend styling a trendy one-piece swimsuit with a colorful sarong to elevate your poolside style. If you want more coverage, a tunic dress is the perfect summer staple. Easy to dress up or down, a tunic dress adds a polished touch to any summer ensemble, making it ideal for many social occasions, especially a pool party! Add a straw tote, your Valentino sandals, and some sunscreen to perfect your outfit.
