After a trip to an old factory in Slovakia, co-founders Christoffer Battin and Fredrik Johansson set out to create a footwear brand inspired by traditional shoemaking practices. Spalwart launched in 2010 and has since developed a cult-like following for their retro yet modern sneakers.
