What is Moncler Grenoble and what makes their ski jacket special?
Grenoble is the ski-wear offshoot label of Moncler, the French-Italian apparel and outerwear company founded by Rene Ramillon in 1952. Read more about Moncler.
What is Moncler Grenoble?
Debuted in 2010, Grenoble is known for its luxurious ski parkas and chic winter accessories constructed from high-performance technical fabrics, an homage to the jackets and gear worn by the French alpine Olympic team in 1968.
Whereas Moncler’s main line is designed for everyday wear and its Genius line is typically shown as a collaboration with another brand or designer, like Craig Green, Grenoble is exclusively “made for the slopes.”
The Moncler Grenoble Ski Jacket
The quintessential Moncler Grenoble Ski Jacket is engineered for maximum ease of movement on the slopes. Crafted from a four-way stretch fabric—a combination of polyester, elastane, spandex, polyamide, and nylon. Others are made using recycled Gore-Tex and filled with Graphene goose down feathers for warmth.
Sealed seams, a rigid visor on the hood, powder skirt and YKK-brand water-resistant zippers are designed to keep the wind and snow out while the wearer remains dry and agile. Practical details like ski pass and snow goggle pockets, as well as a RECCO avalanche reflector make this ski jacket a snowy mountain must-have.
We love that Grenoble womens and mens collections are both functional and beautiful, with bright colors and bold details designed to stand out as much as they blend in.
Other must-haves from the ski-centric collection include après-ski styles like joggers, knitwear, and other layering pieces and accessories.
