Valentino spring 2016! We begin celebrations of fashion week in New York, Paris, London, and Milan. We must pay tribute to one of Italist favorite.

Valentino Clemente Ludovico Garavani born May 11, 1932, best known as Valentino, Italian fashion designer.

If you go to event’s today it is the world of Valentino.  His claim to fame came for styling some of the greats like Jacqueline Kennedy and Elizabeth Taylor.  He has such a following that he even did a cameo in the Devil Wears Prada.  Who doesn’t love that movie!

With the current collection, Valentino spring 2016 natural inspired motifs bring fresh beauty to the Spring 2016 accessories collection.

As would be expected, the colors were stunningly rich pigments, including golden yellows, purples, sunset reds and periwinkle blues.  What I enjoy the most about this collection are the embellishments, geometric shapes, and all the details that make it so rare. To this day,  Valentino makes sure to stay true to its brand by being authentic and creating truly beautiful pieces.

Although Valentino is retired his empire hasn’t strayed from its vision. Today he enjoys his dogs and travels with his 14 seat challenger jet.  I guess you can say it’s good to be in “The World of Valentino”.

This week they just wrapped up his men’s collection inspired by an “Adventure of Self-Examination”,  a journey to discover and share.  Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli undertake an aesthetic exploration of empirical authenticity for the new Valentino men’s Collection.

We would love to get you up close and personal with the Valentino spring 2016 collection.  Make sure you check out our featured pieces on italist and join the world of Valentino.

Ciao Bella,

Laura Lucas
