Perhaps it’s no surprise that Golden Goose is at the top of our list for 2019. It’s iconic skate-inspired sneakers, carefully constructed and pre-distressed in Italy, have universal, perennial appeal across geographies. It doesn’t hurt that they’re available for women, men, and the little ones too.

Paris Texas is a new entrant—it’s cowboy culture boots and heels are bold and exciting, also handmade in Italy.

Max Mara and Moncler are closet staples for the colder months, while Gucci and Celine are worthy investments for the long-term—their designs rise above fleeting trends to signal ultimate refinement and personal taste.

For men, Stone Island tops our list of top brands for 2019. Established in the early 1980s, the Italian brand has steadily grown in popularity for its sleek, technical outerwear, unique fabric treatments (like garment-dyed nylon shell), and iconic removable right-arm logo label.

As with women, Golden Goose sneakers and Moncler outerwear were also popular with men this year, keeping everyone (ladies, gentlemen, and kids) city and country ready.

Dior (and its variants Dior Homme / Christian Dior) have seen a resurgence this year thanks to new designs in its historic monogram jacquard fabric and a re-release of the Saddle bag, which dates back to 1999.

For men, Loro Piana and Christian Louboutin represent luxury staples that serve varied purposes: the former for comfort and everyday wearability with its Open Walk Loafers and the latter for bold, eye-catching designs with the brand’s signature red soles.
