Discover the italist Gucci sale on key fall-winter pieces and iconic staples from the brand

This season, Gucci is sticking to the fundamentals with its collections. Though the Instagram generation demands constant newness, creative director Alessandro Michele delivered a collection for Fall 2020 that is really just a reimagination of the iconic house’s best designs.

Marmont Accessories

The GG Marmont line of leather handbags and accessories debuted in 2016 to instant fanfare—and continues to delight this season in brand new colors like “porcelain blue” and “wild rose”, which also come with a new hardware color: shiny palladium silver. Previous versions of the bags were primarily secured by matte gold hardware, and came in primary colors like red, white, and green.

New last fall was the top-handle shape (below right), which adds another facet of functionality and versatility to the already fuss-free Marmont design. All bags in the line are made with Gucci’s signature matelassé chevron leather with a heart stitched on the backside.

Horsebit Inspo

Elsewhere in the womens and mens collections, you’ll find references to the label’s rich history, specifically with the Horsebit metal details and double-G monogram canvas. We love retro-inspired pieces like the 1955 Horsebit Bucket Bag in brown and white, which are both functional and unconventional.

For men, the Horsebit appears on classic loafers like the Jordaan, as well as clothing like the wool and leather varsity jacket and the denim overshirt (below center). Many of these items are already marked down in the Gucci sale.

Ready to Wear

Of course, the Gucci monogram isn’t just for accessories. The motif has been refreshed and reinterpreted across categories.

For women, it’s tastefully applied to outerwear, like the brick red windbreaker—a fall must-have—and the tonal silk blouse, both pictured below.

Top any Gucci fall ‘fit with creamy off-white wool coat, subtly set off by rounded, brushed-gold buttons and front pockets (below center).

Not pictured but not to be missed is Gucci’s fabulous black nappa leather blazer, which evokes the power female uniform of the 1980s, perfect for fall’s transitional weather.

Gucci Off The Grid

One last thing before you go—check out Gucci’s new line of sustainable accessories for men: Off The Grid. Made with ECONYLⓇ regenerated and recyclable nylon, sewn with recycled threads, trimmed with leather tanned using alternative, eco-friendly methods, and recycled metal hardware.

We love the crossbody camera bag (below top left), which is big enough for all of your day’s essentials, plus a few extra pockets for good measure.
